the Vaal Temple
Open nodes representing rooms
Pathway slots to link your rooms
A designated chamber belonging to Atziri, the pinnacle encounter
Each time you begin a temple run, you'll be offered a selection of room nodes to place anywhere on the map as long as they are connected to a path. After you finalize your layout, press "Run Temple" to explore and clear the rooms you set.
This system is one of the best new methods for farming league-exclusive Path of Exile 2 Items, especially if you're targeting specific room synergies for higher-tier loot.
Room Placement and Removal
Every visit to the Ruins follows this loop:
You receive six new rooms to place.
After completing the run, the console removes two existing rooms at random.
Your goal is to keep building paths toward Atziri's chamber while upgrading rooms to increase rewards.
Despite the removal mechanic, you always gain more rooms than you lose, ensuring consistent forward progress toward the boss fight.
